My First Car

I got my license at age 15.  My first car was a 1978 Toyota Corolla.  It was white and looked like a big bubble.  The car was a year older than me. My friends called it the "Rolls Royce".  And just my luck, it wasn't an automatic.  I had to learn to drive and to drive a stick-shift at the same time.  I was so terrified.  My mother told me to get in the car and don't come back till you know how to drive.  Well, it took a while but I did it.  I thank her everyday for that.  I think it wasn't too long after learning to drive that my dad had to replace the clutch.  I'm a lot easier on a clutch now.  I believe everyone should have to learn to drive a stick.  I know I will teach my children.
